Back to HomeHow We Work
Our Approach to Every Matter
At Warisan Legal, no matter begins with assumptions. We start by listening — to understand the family's circumstances, what is already in place, and what the client hopes to achieve. Only then do we advise.
We explain each option in plain terms, state costs before work commences, and proceed at a pace the client is comfortable with. Documents are reviewed internally before presentation. Clients confirm understanding before anything is signed.
This approach applies equally to a straightforward will and a complex probate matter. The care is the same regardless of the size of the estate.
Understand First
We listen before advising. Family circumstances shape which options are appropriate.
Prepare Carefully
Documents are drafted precisely and reviewed before the client sees them.
Keep You Informed
Updates at every meaningful milestone. Calls returned within one working day.
Service One
Will Drafting & Review
From RM 200
Careful preparation or review of a will, set out in clear terms that reflect your wishes. A calm, forward-looking service for those who want their affairs in order. We take time to understand your family's circumstances and explain each clause plainly, with no obligation to proceed at the first meeting.
In Plain Terms
A will tells everyone what you want to happen with your property, belongings, and any dependants when you are no longer here. Without one, decisions are made by law — not by your wishes.
What Is Included
- Initial consultation to understand your circumstances
- Drafting of a will that clearly reflects your wishes
- Plain-language explanation of each clause
- Guidance on civil and faraah distribution options
- Proper execution and witnessing advice
Process Steps
- 1Initial conversation — we listen to your situation, at no charge
- 2Fee agreed in writing before drafting commences
- 3Draft prepared and reviewed internally, then presented to you
- 4Amendments made until you are satisfied with every clause
- 5Formal execution and safe storage advice provided
Service Two
Probate & Estate Administration
From RM 630
Steady support obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration and settling an estate afterwards. We take on the paperwork and correspondence at a difficult time, keeping you gently informed throughout. Costs are explained openly at the start.
In Plain Terms
When someone passes away, their estate needs to be formally handed over to the people entitled to it. Probate is the court process that gives authority to do this. We handle the paperwork and follow-up so you do not have to.
What We Handle
- Preparation of grant of probate or letters of administration
- Asset inventory and debt settlement coordination
- Correspondence with banks, EPF, land office, and registries
- Distribution deeds and property transmission
- Amanah Raya small estate process where applicable
Process Steps
- 1Initial review of the estate and documents held
- 2Fee structure agreed and confirmed in writing
- 3Application to court or Amanah Raya prepared and filed
- 4Correspondence with all relevant institutions handled
- 5Distribution to beneficiaries completed with documentation
Service Three
Estate Planning & Trusts
From RM 420
Considered advice on arranging your estate, including trusts where suitable, so that matters are settled clearly for those you care about. A patient service that respects your intentions and your family's needs. We keep explanations simple and decisions firmly with you.
In Plain Terms
Estate planning means arranging things now so that your assets go where you intend, in the way you intend, when the time comes. A trust can hold assets on behalf of someone else — such as a minor child — until the right moment.
What Is Covered
- Review of existing arrangements and identification of gaps
- Advice on testamentary and inter vivos trusts
- Multi-generational planning considerations
- Business asset and investment property succession
- Plain-language written summary of recommendations
Process Steps
- 1Fact-find conversation — your assets, family, and intentions
- 2Written recommendations provided, with options explained
- 3Chosen structure drafted and reviewed internally
- 4Plain-language walk-through with client before execution
- 5Ongoing review available as circumstances change
